If you arrive late for your appointment, we will try our best to accommodate you; however please understand that we may need to reschedule your appointment or alter the services you are booked for based on the time available. If you must cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, so that we may accommodate other guests who may be waiting for a service.
Payment
We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and cash for payment of services. We also are proud partners of Spa Week and Spa Finder and Cinch.. We do not accept checks for any form of payment.
Tips are appreciated and accepted by cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
Cancellation Policy
We require at least a 24 hour notice for any cancellations or changes to appointment times; this allows other guests to book an appointment during this time slot as well as an opportunity for guests that are on the waiting list to get in to see our amazing stylists. We kindly ask and require a credit card to reserve all services to protect the valuable time of our stylists and their other guests. If you are unable to give the salon a 24 hour notice or end up not showing to your scheduled appointment time; you will be charged 100% of your total scheduled service. When a no show or late cancelation occurs it takes large blocks of time that impact our stylists and other guests. We understand that sometimes things happen, however, we try to respect our hairdresser's time as much as we respect yours.
Retail Refunds
Our refund policy is simple: we stand behind our products 100%. If for any reason, you are dissatisfied with our products, like-new and gently-used products may be returned or exchanged within 7 days for a full refund. Refunds will be provided in the form of the original payment method.
Customer Satisfaction
We are committed to complete customer satisfaction and understand that there are times that a guest may not be completely satisfied with their service. If you are unhappy, please contact the salon within 48 hours of your service to book a complimentary adjustment within 1 week of your appointment date. The adjustment appointment will be scheduled with the same stylist who performed the original service. However, in the case that the original stylist is unavailable, or if you feel that they are unable to provide the service, an exception may be made and the adjustment may be scheduled with someone else. To honor any complementary services we must see your hair in person to make a complete assessment. At ARCO New York we stand behind our work, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly.
Service Refunds
If a client is unhappy with the results of a redo service; management will use reasonable and fair judgement on any decision to refund the client.

Even though all of our products are plant based and toxin free; please advise your stylist of any medical conditions or allergies you may have prior to your service.
Appointments
We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to assure you receive your full service and a paramount experience. Pre-booking your appointments prior to leaving the salon guarantees a secure date to accommodate your schedule.
Party Facilities
Our salon offers both indoor and outdoor space for any occasion; large or small groups, from bridal parties, girls night out, or corporate events, your guests will feel indulged in luxury.

What is Oway?
Organic Way (Oway) is the world's first professional organic hair color, care and styling line with biodynamic, organic and fair trade ingredients. Their green chemists hand select the highest quality formulations to achieve professional results without the use of common salon toxins, keeping the line chemical and toxic free!
Does your hair color have ammonia in it?
No, our color line, Oway, is the first nourishing ammonia free coloring system with biodynamic and organic oils, activated with a fluid developer based on illipe butter.
Is it safe to get my hair colored if I’m pregnant?
Our color line is not only ammonia free, but also free from parabens, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, PPDs, and artificial colorants. Many doctors have approved the use of our color line while pregnant as well as many other serious illnesses like cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
What are the active ingredients in your color line?
Illipe butter, Perilla oil, Date oil, and Cotton protein. The Illipè butter infusion protects and integrates the hair stem, leaving hair soft, shiny and hydrated. The organic Perilla and ethical Date oils protect even the most sensitive of scalps and give shine, the biodynamic Hibiscus unfolds an intense antioxidant action and the Cotton Proteins increase the resistance to stress and hair fiber traction.
Is your color and hair care line Vegan?
Yes, the line is 100% Vegan with the exception of our Moisturising line which contains honey from a fair trade bee farm that is cruelty free and the silk that is in our color developers that come from the silk worm also from a fair trade cruelty free facility.
Is your product line cruelty free?
Organic Way is not, nor will it ever be, tested on animals. For European Union manufacturers, testing on animals has been banned since 2004 on the finished cosmetic and since 2009 for raw materials. The phrase “We Love Animals” communicates our ethically absolute choices in this direction: first of all the company’s decision not to export Oway to China, where importers are obligated to perform testing on animals.
They have obtained PETA Cruelty Free recognition and certification in the U.S.A.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is the largest world organisation for the protection of animal rights. PETA has always been at the forefront in the fight against vivisection, experimentation and other brutal treatments of animals.
Where are the ingredients sourced for your color and hair care line?
Oway has the OrtOfficina farm in Bologna, Italy covering over 50,000 sq m, that applies the biodynamic method, where they grow medicinal herbs.
The deep bond with nature and the complete respect of its rhythms lead them to put an end to the use of synthetic mineral fertilisers and chemical pesticides and to manage the land following the cosmic and lunar cycles, based on an astronomical calendar.
Any ingredients that are needed that are not grown on the farm is outsourced through the cooperation of international networks of fair trade purchase to support the development of the poor countries of the world with our productions.
They receive certified natural raw materials from Africa, Amazonia, Indonesia, Indochina and Aboriginal Australia, which they include in each of their products, thus supporting over 800 local communities.
How does Oway contribute to sustainable development?
Organic Way is the first company in the professional sector to choose glass for all bottles and jars.
Amber glass is able to protect the preservation and integrity of the botanical extracts contained in our formulas, shielding them from UV rays and protecting them from bacteria. Glass is 100% pure and does not release toxic substances or contain potentially harmful chemical products which may be contained in other packaging materials.
When aluminium is used for cosmetic packaging it is protected internally so that the contact with the contents is perfect. 100% recyclable and infinitely reusable. Aluminium recycling uses an amount of energy equal to only 5% of that used for its production from scratch. Elegant, natural, extremely corrosion resistant; The perfect material for their tubes.
What is no superfluous packaging?
To minimise our impact on the environment, Oway has opted to use only the minimum amount of packaging (all recycled, recyclable or ecological). For this reason our aluminium tubes and our glass bottles and jars do not come in boxes.
How are we doing our part to reduce, recycle and reuse?
At ARCO we are a certified Green Circle Salon; we collect, recycle & repurpose all of salon's hair clippings, used foils, color-tubes, gloves, excess hair color, paper and plastic, glass, and any other salon waste, and divert them from landfills and waterways ensuring that we can help keep people and the planet beautiful.
